Sunday with My Family

by jamminglady @ 09. Mar 2008 - 21:24:50

It was intended to be a plain sunday but it turned out to be a day filled with places to go to.

Firstly, we went for a lunch at IMM. We decided to eat Swensens. As my dad was craving for steak, he ordered a rib-eye steak. I ordered a sirloin steak and my brother ordered a seafood pasta. It turned out that my steak was like medium though I asked for medium well. My dad's rib-eye steak was so small and burnt. The steaks were a disaster. My brother's seafood pasta turned out to be most tasty and flavorful. It was black pepper and it has an oriental taste to it. Luckily, the "Hazel Daze" ice-cream we ordered for sharing was very good. The whole meal costed $80+, we shall NEVER eat steak at Swensen again.

Next, it's time for a walk. My dad has an intention of changing the car to a coupe. So we drove to the car showrooms. We visited Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Lexus, Rolls Royce, Porsche and Mini Cooper!!! It was really an experience. As for what car he had taken an eye to.. I'll leave it for next time.

After that we went to Lebrador park. Here are some pictures:

We saw star cruise ship at the park.

View of the park, so much better than East Coast Park which is terribly crowded on Sundays.

Excursion Sunday

by jamminglady @ 08. Mar 2008 - 23:13:45

Not exactly an excursion but visited several places. I visited the Changi Airport Terminal 3 today. This is a new terminal, very well spaced and quiet. It does not look big but I realised that they build it in such a way that if you are sending somebody off, you can actually see and walk together till the gate where he/she is waiting to board the plane. It is only separated by a glass door. I didn't know until I was trying to walk to the skytrain platform.

I took the train to Orchard and I walked around at Far East Plaza to do some shopping. Bought some girl's "stuff" and a big bag.

This saturday, we are starting a new class. I was expecting new classmates but there isn't! The feeling of studying with the same fun group of classmates again was great and bonded. We can practise conversation together and we know who parties a lot and who likes to go home late. This time, it's an all-girls class. Our classroom is like at the far and hidden end of the corridoor. Tables were shaped like boardroom. It was a good session today and it makes me feel like continuing class till intermediate together with them.

After that, my dad called me to go out for dinner. My brother drove us to clarke quay. We were trying to find healthy food to eat. We went "Central". They have many restaurants to choose from. I suggested TCC. When we reached, we found that TCC has shifted to another level and it has not yet opened. So we ended up walking around the shopping centre and looking at restaurants. They have so many japanese restaurants. We took our queue number at Pasta de Waraku but we had to wait for 30 mins. Then we walked around to see if there's anything else to eat. Finally, my dad was curious looking at the subway staff preparing sandwiches and we stayed at subway.

I think we were too hungry, it tasted so yummy. As usual I love their sweet onion sauce.

Then we brought our dad around Clarke Quay, a place with many pubs and restaurants. He saw the pub "The Clinic" and he was amused too. We also walked by MOS hoping to show him some exotic cars which rich people drive to discos. Unfortunately, it was too early. :b

What a fulfilling day!

Cold Thursday Morning

by jamminglady @ 08. Mar 2008 - 22:58:06

This thursday morning was really cold. Dark clouds over the sky and it was rainy. Never did I expect to see skyscrapers covered by clouds.

These are the photos I took when I was on my way to work and dropping the nearby Spineilli cafe to buy a cup of cappuccino. The clouds covered the top storeys the buildings.

Dessert Hut's Mango Sago

by jamminglady @ 08. Mar 2008 - 22:54:35

Hey, I just tried their mango sago at this dessert hut. It's located at People's Park Centre. Small dessert shop located side-by-side with another dessert shop. They are really fully packed over lunch time!!

Great mango sago, thick and full of mango flavour.
