Step Up: Give it up to me

by jamminglady @ 27. Nov 2006 - 00:36:20

Today I just watched the movie "Step Up". It's a very common plot on dance movies. Nothing very special.. it's more like a love story. The dance was not very captivating but it really captures attraction on guy's dancing more than the girl's. This part makes it just a little different from other movies. Their R&B music is good.. you gotta just listen to it.

Their soundtrack:

Sleepy but couldn't get to sleep

by jamminglady @ 14. Nov 2006 - 00:02:09

Last night I couldn't sleep well though my eyes were dead tired. I tossed around in bed for the whole night. This morning I woke up with my right arm aching. Now again I try to sleep early, my tired eyes asked me to sleep but my mind is unsettled. There seemed to be some unusual signals crossing my brain.

Now I'm sitting right in front here, don't know what I'm typing. I know I just wanted to get to sleep. How do I? Many things seemed to have cluttered my mind recently. Everything... perhaps, I just need to free my thoughts for a while.

Let me get to sleep!!!!!

No Signboard Seafood restaurant at the esplanade

by jamminglady @ 06. Nov 2006 - 11:48:22

We have always been to No Signboard Seafood restaurant. But the one at the esplanade is the first time. We knew it will be much costly but we didn't know it was that costly. After we sat at our tables, a middle-age aunty waitress came to us for orders. I don't know why, she only attends to my parents. I think she's trying to get them to order more costly food, judging from the food she recommended. She even tried to recommend a $180 fish! Luckily, my parents never said yes. They were all wondering how come the fish cost that much.

Anyway, we made our orders for: 1 White Pepper Crab, a plate of 6 fresh oysters, spring onion deer meat, vegetables in tofu on a plate of egg (haha, don't know their fancy name), fish noodles, fried squid in chilli sauce, a pot of tea and a jug of Tiger Beer for everybody.

Well, the fish noodles was recommended by that aunty waitress. We thought it was noodles with fish slices but she said it's fish meat made into noodles. That kind of interest us. My dad wanted to give it a try. It comes at a cost of $28 for this small plate of noodles, anyway.. it's his birthday. :)

Finally the oyster came. The oysters were huge as usual at No Signboard. It was very fresh and good with the chilli sauce. We finished it in no time. Then they started serving all the other dishes. All tasted very good. I like the deer meat very much because it's very hard to find a place where the deer meat is so soft after cooking. I like the white pepper crab too, the white pepper really spices in our mouth, just that there isn't too much gravy. We would love its gravy.

There we ended our dinner, finished our last drop of beer. I called for the bill. We were all guessing that the crab should be the most expensive dish. However, it turned out that oysters were the most expensive! $10 for each big oyster, so it's $60 for the plate of oysters. Hahaha.. Interesting. Luckily, all the food are good. But I didn't like that aunty waitress, she gave me the bill like she didn't want to, looking here and there and then gave me in a impolite manner.

Next time, I will only visit the Geylang branch. :P
