Give me a pair of wings

by jamminglady @ 18. Jul 2006 - 14:20:53

Sometimes it seems to be a parental problem, social problem or personal problem that parents don't seem to like to give control to their children. Same scenario as from boss to subordinates, from friends to friends and from teachers to students... When everybody is asking for some freedom, yet they don't give the freedom to others. I don't understand why. Why do they like to control so much? The only reason I can think of is that they think that their children cannot be independent.. they are brainless compared to themselves. BRAINLESS. Who likes to be thought of as an idiot?

Everyday when I wake up, I can only feel like getting out of the house and just somewhere where I can get happiness. I can show them that I can live without them. I can survive on my own, I don't need my parents to control what I need to do. Simply there is no trust. Why can't they act like pure friends to me? WHY? Why do I always feel like friends are always better to me? Why do I always get the feeling that I can be better to my friends? Ever since when I am in my primary school, I get this feeling. Sometimes when I see how my dad tolerates my mum, I wonder why he can live with her like this... FOREVER. I cannot even imagine. It's not particularly about her. It seems like most parents are like this. When I see some mum who can really give freedom to their children and yet talk to their children like friends, I just envy them. Although in terms of financials, I am already much lucky than many others. However......

Sometimes I just wonder if anybody understand what I'm feeling. Everytime when I am feeling so sad that I wanna cry because nobody understands. Maybe, I need to start a totally new life.

A pair of wings seemed so precious and rare that perhaps I will never get it.
