Just Writing

by jamminglady @ 29. Apr 2006 - 09:07:23

It's a Saturday morning. I slept early last night. Suddenly felt like this blog that I have written so far looked like somebody who got depression. Ha ha. Do I? or Maybe? Sigh.. sometimes, it's like only when you have bad moods, you are more creative in writing. Why I got this impression was all these adsense that's displaying on our blogs here. The content of it will change according to the content you write it. When I write something about a bad day, there's adsense displaying the depression stuff. So funny.

The weekend has just began and I see nothing. Perhaps, I'll just work. Some of these days, I must really have a getaway. I'm feeling so cooped up here. I'm telling myself:RELAX!

Bad Day by Daniel Powter

by jamminglady @ 28. Apr 2006 - 19:45:05

This song somehow reflects these weekdays of mine.. It's a relaxing song. Nice!
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee you go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(Oh.. Holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day ohhh
You had a bad day

Had a bad day ohhh yea yea yea yea
Had a bad day ohhhhh oh yea
Had a bad day ahhhhhh lalala
Had a bad day ahhhhhh oh yea

My Nokia LifeBlog Week: Immense pressure up and down

by jamminglady @ 28. Apr 2006 - 19:31:09

I just noticed that my handphone has thing feature called LifeBlog. Sometimes I'm so fed-up or frustrated or felt so bored in the train, it really helps to write something down. It automatically organises your photos and smses or create text notes in your timeline. I'm currently using it for text notes only. It's quite fun to look back sometimes.

Here's this week's first lifeblog!

Monday 24th April:
Today I feel shitty. Work started in the day with funnily re-opened defects. Then later my manager informs of no more leave these 2 months. Some sort of impressed by this guy. However, hated the current situation. What should I do?

Tuesday 25th April:
Well, nothing much today, as usual boring tuesday. Quite a lot of work to complete. I really hope to finish them this week. A bit worried about how the warroom thing is going to be like also. Whether I can stay somewhere near east area. All seemed bleak.

Wednesday 26th April:
Today I have a meeting at 10am. I woke up late cos of late work yesterday. Stupid PIE had to have massive jam at this time. And this taxi driver never attempt to suggest any other roads when we saw the jam notice from far. Aiyo! Why like that?

Thursday 27th April:
Many small little things if we don't take it calmly, it makes us cry. Why make our life so miserable? Perhaps I need to learn to take things on my stride. Ask for less, I will get less disappointment. Perhaps need external therapy to calm me down.

Friday 28th April:
Happy happy! Maybe I finished a couple of things on hand, or maybe something else, I am feeling good today. That's all for today folks! :P

Thought Provoking Life Situations?

by jamminglady @ 21. Apr 2006 - 00:22:19

Sometimes, I really wonder how people act in the following real life situations. Ever wondered what would you do? If it happens, it's gonna hit you.. :P

I remember this phrase I learnt very well:
How you do anything is how you do everything

Qn 1: What will you do if a robber pokes a knife behind you and ask you for money?
a) I'll pass him the money to save myself of any injuries.
b) I would immediately struggle and fight back. Take risk.
c) I would strategise a little during that first minute, find a way to risk my chance of getting away or getting help.

Qn 2: What will you do if you have been threatened to do something bad/immoral/embarassing to save your loved one?
a) I would do it. (except for things I'm unable to do)
b) I would discuss with him/her first.
c) I would not do it and find other ways.
d) I have something better to do than that. :P

Qn 3: If your "friend" or whoever slips and almost fall beside you, would you...
a) catch him/her immediately
b) it's none of my business
c) let him fall first, then take care of him.
d) try to walk away.. it's embarassing.

Qn 4: What's your basis in a quarrel with your close one?
a) I am always right.
b) I would reflect before we resolve the issue.
c) Resolve the problem instead of hiding the reason.
d) I will give in to him/her even though he/she is wrong because I love him.
e) Forget and ignore.

Qn 5: If you are going to die 1 month later, what will you do in this 30 days?
a) Find a solution not to die so soon.
b) Play hard.
c) Do what I wanted to do in this lifetime if possible.
d) I'll be sad and try to find peace.
e) Do things for my family.

Qn 6: Which one are you?
a) Wicked
b) Loving
c) Kind
d) Think about my happiness most of the time
e) Materialistic
f) Practical
g) Weak and little confidence
h) Arrogant
i) Others: name it yourself

Actually the first question was the one which I was really puzzled about how people reacts.

Mango Sago Recipe

by jamminglady @ 12. Apr 2006 - 15:24:03

This was something which I wanted to make. Inspired by Ah Chew's dessert on Mango Sago. Found the following recipe online, I decided to try it myself, luckily mango fruits are still selling in the market. I changed the recipe a little.. There's no coconut milk and it's pure colourless sago (for health reasons). I don't like to use artificial stuff in my foods.

For those puzzling on how to get mango juice, Peel Fresh Mango juice does a great job. Hehe. There were some steps which I did differently. I added more juice into the bowl which I took out the sago milk before chilling it. It gives it a stronger and sweeter mango taste. And then some little on top of it.. without stirring for extra taste. :P

Something which I would recommend, put less milk can help to make it less thick. The following makes a quite a big portion already. :P

Mango Sago

1-1/2 cups colored sago
2/3 cup evaporated milk
3 cups water
Creamer
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoon instant gata(coconut milk)
1/4 cup mango juice
1/2 cup chopped mangoes

Bring water to a boil. Add in sago and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add in sugar, juice, evaporated milk and gata (coconut milk).
Simmer for another 10 minutes, stirring once in a while to prevent sago and milk from burning.
Cook until liquid has almost evaporated.
While still hot, blend in mangoes and scoop about 1/2 cup of the mixture into molds or serving containers and let cool.
Chill before serving.
